Our feedstuffs operations started in the 1950s when we began to make cattle feed from the by-products of alcohol production. Our activities in this area center on the livestock feed business, which focuses on dairy cattle products and the fish feed business, which manufactures feeds for yellow tail, snapper and other types of farmed fish. By capitalizing on our unique technological strengths, we develop and produce feeds suited to each animal’s physiology and living environment. We are committed to providing products that are safe for humans and animals and also environment-friendly.

Our livestock feed business provides special compound feeds that contain fermented alcohol additives and roughage and have superior taste and shelf life. We also focus on feeds with vitamin and mineral supplements.

Our bases in Tomakomai (Hokkaido Prefecture), Yatsushiro (Kumamoto Prefecture) and Tokyo enable us to cover every part of Japan. We carefully tailor our sales activities to user needs, placing a particular emphasis on technical support services.

It is vitally important to protect the health of people consuming beef and dairy products. We therefore make every effort to ensure the safety and reliability of livestock feed. We have been quick to develop Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE)-free, non-genetically modified (Non-GM), post-harvest free (PHF) feeds and constantly strive to improve the sanitation of our production processes.

Our fish feed operations, which began in the 1970s, have expanded in step with the growth of fish farming. In this business we developed and patented Soft EP, the world’s first highmoisture-content fish feed. Soft EP is a distinctive product that has won strong support from users. Its high moisture content makes it soft and attractive to fish, enabling smooth digestion of various nutrients. Soft EP is good for the health of fish and helps conserve the environment by minimizing sea pollution.
